Daryl is the resident redneck with a heart of gold. He grunts and loves his squirrels and possums; he doesn't have the best table matters and he also has a temper that goes off when those he loves are threatened. He's loyal and selfless and a good man. He's protective of the group and he won't think twice about putting his life in danger for those he cares about. He's very close to Rick and Carol, they are family. Respects Michonne, Maggie and Glenn but the person who got to know him better or to know more about him than anyone else was Beth. She broke his walls down and helped him shed a lot of guilt he felt over the fall of the prison and his past without judging him. She built him up when he was feeling hopeless. It was thanks to Beth that Daryl began to believe that there was more in this life than just surviving. He's willing to give people chances nowadays because of Beth's influence. He's not comfortable at ASZ; he doesn't feel at home there but he's willing to try and make it work even if he doesn't spend a lot of time within the ASZ walls.
He's a hunter and a tracker so those are his main skills and he's also working as a recruiter alongside Aaron. He's trying to find the good people left in the world. He's a man of few words and he doesn't open up to a lot of people but he's genuine and honest.
Friends: these are few. He doesn't open up to a lot of people but Rick and Carol are close to him. He's also making friends with Aaron. He's trying to be friendly. It doesn't always work. He's reliable and trustworthy.
Enemies: Anyone who threatens the people he cares about it. Daryl has very black and white views about enemies these days.
Lovers: Daryl never liked being touched. He's not good at romance. He has no game. Beth was the only person he ever developed real feelings for but he was never able to be completely aware of these feelings. He felt and he still feels them. He's not looking for romance. Beth was the one.
